Description
Bury Hospice is looking for a charismatic Shop Assistant to support our Hospice shops. In this role you will deliver customer care to the highest of standards at all times.


As a Shop Assistant you will be responsible for running a shop to cover for days off, sickness and holidays ensuring stock levels are suitable to store requirements, working with the Retail Management team to achieve financial targets, and completing all shop-related administration tasks accurately and timely.


Customer satisfaction and engagement is key to our success as a Hospice, in which your excellent customer service skills will be relied upon to provide a fantastic experience for customers and to resolve queries and complaints.


You will be a responsible individual, respectful of guidelines and procedures, such as those related to GDPR and cash handling.

You will have an understanding of data protection and the meaning of confidentiality.

You will take ownership of planning and organising activities within your own role including sorting stock, pricing, ticketing, etc.

Volunteer shop assistants support us in our work so it would be beneficial to the role if you had experience of managing others.

This is a hands-on role and will operate on a flexible zero-hours contract.
