This is an opportunity for a highly motivated individual to progress their career within a family-owned business with good opportunity for advancement.

Role:

Reporting to the Operations director, you will be a motivated and a hands-on manager with experience within the waste industry either as a site manager or a Site Supervisor looking for the next step up.

Ensure day to day operation of the site to include managing warehouse staff, drivers, site compliance and health and safety.

Responsibilities

Responsible for circa 20 Operatives and drivers using various machinery and tools
Working with the Transport manager overseeing the transport function
Manage visitors, customers, drivers, and contractors when on site.
Ensure the depot is working in line with Health & Safety regulations and Industry legislation
Work closely with Directors to assess budgets, pricing, and P&L activities.

Experience and Knowledge

Waste industry background, ideally including hazardous waste knowledge
Strong Health and Safety industry knowledge is essential.
Hold WAMITAB / COTC level 4 & H&S qualification such as IOSH/ NEBOSH
Knowledge of transport regulations
Any previous mobile plant operation experience (Wheel loader/ FLT/ Materials Handler and a Full UK Driving licence) would be an advantage.

This is a full time permanent position, 47.5 hours per week + overtime. Hours are 07:00am - 17:00pm but needs to be flexible.
