Role OverviewAs a Product Development Consultant, you will play a crucial role within our clients New Product Development (NPD) team.
You will collaborate closely with the Head of Product Development and cross-functional teams to deliver innovative, high-quality jewellery products that meet our brand standards.
This role requires a deep understanding of jewellery development and manufacturing processes, as well as a passion for delivering exceptional products.
Key Responsibilities:
Technical Expertise:
Utilise your expertise in jewellery manufacture and development to ensure the best quality, costs, compliance, and sustainable credentials.
Lead the technical development of jewellery products, from design to launch, while contributing to the overall product range.
Ensure compliance with luxury jewellery market standards and quality requirements.
Clearly brief suppliers and effectively present technical understanding.
Drive simplicity and propose optimal constructions for customer satisfaction and perceived value.
Development:
Collaborate with suppliers to bring design ideas to life with speed and accuracy.
Utilise CAD software to ensure product viability.
Anticipate potential issues with product quality and address them proactively.
Manage the critical path and work cross-functionally with commercial and supplier teams.
Brief collections for development, ensuring alignment with design aesthetic and quality standards.
Monitor sample development progress and communicate effectively with suppliers.
What You'll Bring:
Passion for our brand and products.
Prior experience in jewellery development and manufacture, preferably with expertise in diamonds, gemstones, and 14k solid gold.
Experience managing external suppliers and product development.
Ability to learn quickly and effectively teach others.
Proven track record in technical jewellery development.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Strong organisational and multitasking abilities with meticulous attention to detail.
Experience working in teams and willingness to support various tasks.
Sound judgment, problem-solving skills, and self-motivation.
Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator, Microsoft Office (Excel and PowerPoint).
