Technical Sales Estimator

Pay Rate:
From £25,000 Per Annum


Shift times:
Monday - Thursday: 8am - 4:30pm + Friday: 8am - 12:45pm


Absolute industrial Recruitment are currently recruiting for a Technical sales estimator working in a manufacturing environment, the technical sales estimator will create proposals, project costings, review customer specifications and propose final budgets depending on customer requests.

The ideal individual will need critical thinking skills and the ability to calculate various job costings. The role will be working alongside the Design, Sales and Purchasing departments. The company is interested in an individual with a background in estimating preferably with a manufacturing background.


Role:


  • Prepare work to be estimated by gathering proposals, drawings, project specifications and other related documents
  • Identify labour, materials, and time requirements of an estimated order.
  • Compute and compile order costings through analysing labour, materials, and time requirements.
  • Resolve any discrepancies by collecting and analysing provided information.
  • Provide a prepared estimate by assembling and displaying numerical and descriptive information.
  • Maintain a costing database.
  • Review technical knowledge through attending educational workshops or reviewing technical publications.
  • Focus on maximising customer satisfaction and profit, while eliminating potential business risks.
  • Verify compliance with quality, safety, production standards and work rules.

Person Specifications:


  • Willingness to learn and work as part of a team
  • Ensure production demands and customer requirements are met
  • Adhering to Company Standards/Guidance when analysing and providing estimations.
  • Ability to use your own initiative
  • Good communications skills (A good standard of English is essential)
  • Ability to work under minimum supervision

Experience:


  • Sales/ Estimating: 12 years (preferred)
