    Wiley is seeking an experienced UI Designer, responsible for working closely with our product and UX teams on designing, detailing, and executing beautiful solutions that drive Wiley's open access strategy.

    The UI Designer will be tasked with crafting elegant designs to meet the unique challenges of complex B2B experiences, including Wiley's open access administrative tools and data-rich applications. The successful candidate is somebody who can unravel complicated workflows and compose them into practical, integrated designs for development.

    Furthermore, as a member of the publishing workflow UX team, you will help enrich and reinforce our design systems, ensuring consistency and coherence across all our products.

    How you will make an impact:
    • Create visually appealing user interface designs for web applications using Figma.
    • Maintain and evolve design systems to ensure consistency and efficiency in design workflows.
    • Partner with UX researchers to create diagrams, wireframes, and prototypes.
    • Communicate designs to internal stakeholders and gather feedback.
    • Test concepts and ideas with users.
    • Partner with UX Engineers to build engaging prototypes and interfaces.
    • Document functional specifications and design requirements.


    What we look for:
    • Candidates should have a portfolio demonstrating their ability to solve business challenges through design.
    • Strong design aesthetic and attention to detail
    • Proven experience creating and maintaining web-based digital products.
    • Highly proficient with Figma and design systems
    • Knowledgeable of UI design best practices and accessibility guidelines
    • Strong problem-solving, interpersonal, and communication skills with the ability to work in cross-functional teams.
    • Ability to work both collaboratively and independently.
    • Front-end web development knowledge (HTML, CSS, JS) is preferred, but you will not be expected to write code.
    • Bachelor's degree in design, Visual Communications, Human Computer Interaction, or related field is preferred.
