    This post is available to either recently qualified practitioner psychologists who will be supported to develop into a band 8a role or to more experienced practitioners able to fulfil the senior role now.

    The senior role will include line management of others and more clinical leadership.
    Little Brook hospital has three acute wards and a male PICU. Psychological practice within the hospital is a valued service. Psychologically informed care is becoming more mainstreamed through initiatives such as trauma informed and formulation driven care plans.     For the band 7 position:
    To be responsible for the systematic provision of Specialist Psychological Services to clients with complex, severe and enduring mental health difficulties entering Acute services
    To undertake high quality direct (assessment and therapeutic) and indirect (consultative, advisory and evaluative) specialist psychological interventions in these services taking substantial professional responsibility and exercising autonomous judgement in their professional
    To contribute highly specialist psychological advice to the multi-disciplinary formulation of appropriate therapeutic approaches or intervention plans, and to be involved in, or oversee specialist psychological aspects of their implementation in collaboration with other

    The Induction programme will provide an excellent opportunity for new staff to meet and engage with KMPT's subject specialists and include the required training.

    The programme may involve some travel to the various training venues across Kent and Medway, the main ones being Canterbury, Maidstone and Dartford.
