IT Field Engineer
- £35,000 Belfast

Clemence Rogers are working in conjunction with our client to recruit for a highly skilled field engineer in Belfast

The role is to be based in Belfast and cover IT field support for all the Groups companies in the area (so a driving license is essential).

This is a customer-facing role and requires excellent interpersonal and communications skills and the ability to buildstrong relationships with Group managers and IT users.

Key responsibilities of an IT Field Engineer:

On-site infrastructure support and maintenance
Incident management and service request delivery in line with IT department SLAs
Building relationships with onsite management teams and IT users
Project assistance for site infrastructure and software changes
Conducting a schedule of regular visits across the Group sites
Problem management, including root cause analysis and proactive identification of site risks / issues
Contributing to service improvement plans for site IT delivery
Assistance in supporting the IT Service Desk and Infrastructure systems
Implementing changes in line with the IT change management process and CAB
Building close relationships with all IT teams

Requirements of an IT Field Engineer:

Extensive experience working within an IT Service / Infrastructure team
An understanding of modern IT Infrastructure technologies and tools including Cloud, M365, networking
Excellent customer service and communications skills
Relationship building across the group sites, including management teams and IT users
Experience in IT hardware installations
Experience in maintaining onsite server / communications room equipment
Flexibility to be able to travel and work out of hours where required
Driving License and transport required (although company vehicles may be provided)
ITIL Foundation qualified (desirable)
