Location: Gosport, Hampshire

Days & Hours:

36 hours per week
2 days and 1 night shift per week according to the rota
Shift patterns: 7am-7pm for day shift and 7pm-7am for night shifts
Handover at the beginning of each shift

Bank hours available for team absences

Pay:

Weekdays, Days, and Waking Nights: £13.50 per hour
Weekends, Days, and Waking Nights: £15.66 per hour
Travel allowance for eligible candidates

Driver required? Essential

Driving Clients Car? Yes, using our client's Wheelchair Adapted Vehicle (WAV), automatic

Using Own Vehicle for work purposes? Yes, when on duty and for trainings

Essential: Supporting adults with emotional and behavioral needs, experience in behavior management and de-escalation techniques
Desirable: Experience with adults who suffered a head injury and dementia

Family Pets: 1 pet Beagle shared with another family member

Interviews Week Commencing: As applications are received, possibly through video calls

Start Date: ASAP, pending pre-employment checks

Meet Patrick

Patrick, born in 1944, needs a Support Worker to join his 24-hour care team in Gosport. Patrick suffered a brain injury in a road traffic accident in 2016. He lives with his wife and shared family dog. Patrick, a black belt in Karate, remains active in his local club. He is friendly, talkative, and enjoys social activities and shopping.

Support Patrick with personal care, rehabilitation, domestic tasks, and social activities. Overnight, help with medication and care needs.

Pay and Benefits:

Weekdays, Days, and Waking Nights: £13.50 per hour
Weekends, Days, and Waking Nights: £15.66 per hour
On-going training & support
5.6 weeks annual leave pro rata
Free DBS check

High care standards include:

Induction
Training opportunities (including The Care Certificate)
Regular supervision meetings
Support from Case Manager and HR
