Position Title:
Production Operator - GRP Trim
Location:
Paneltex, Hull Somerden Road
Hours of work: 40 hours per week - Monday-Thursday / Friday
Salary:
£10.25 per hour
Other Benefits:
Equivalent of 32 days annual leave (inclusive of bank holidays), Contributory pension scheme & Life Assurance cover.
Job Overview
Working in a team environment you will work on a range of products; you will need to read and understand lay-up drawings and use your finishing and fairing skills to complete projects from release from the mould to a high glossed finished product.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Be familiar with the company's Health and Safety Policies and in particular with your responsibilities.
- To comply with Paneltex SAS Who Cares Wins initiative.
- Comply with all relevant internal rules, policies and procedures, included in the company handbook.
- Maintain a clean working area through 5s activities.
- Liaise with the indirect department for logístical purposes, such as product movement/delivery to various production lines.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Previous experience and proficient in the use of handheld power tools, such as air tools, diamond cutters and grinders.
- To be able to understand metric tape measures confidently.
- Previous experience and use of robotics (beneficial)
- Ability to read and understand detailed engineering drawings (beneficial)
- Adjust settings of manufacturing equipment
- Setting up required tooling
- Practical with high attention to detail
- Ability to work to deadlines.
- High work ethic & team player
- Effective communication includes speaking, writing, active listening and taking instructions
- To wear airfed / respiratory equipment and adhere to PPE guidance.
- Good understanding of Health and Safety
- Punctual & reliable
- Flexible approach to overtime
- Ability to highlight quality issues
- Good computer skills (desirable)
