Thirty years later, Paneltex produces hundreds of refrigerated vehicle bodies, vehicle body kits, and portable cold stores a week out of seven specialised factories across the UK.


Position Title:
Production Operator - GRP Trim


Location:
Paneltex, Hull Somerden Road


Hours of work: 40 hours per week - Monday-Thursday / Friday


Salary:
£10.25 per hour

Job Overview


Working in a team environment you will work on a range of products; you will need to read and understand lay-up drawings and use your finishing and fairing skills to complete projects from release from the mould to a high glossed finished product.

Perform QA inspection of goods presented using visual inspection and tape measure to confirm dimensions. Be able to work with a variety of air tools, diamond cutters and grinders.


Key Duties and Responsibilities

  • Be familiar with the company's Health and Safety Policies and in particular with your responsibilities.
  • To comply with Paneltex SAS Who Cares Wins initiative.
  • Comply with all relevant internal rules, policies and procedures, included in the company handbook.
  • Maintain a clean working area through 5s activities.
  • Liaise with the indirect department for logístical purposes, such as product movement/delivery to various production lines.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Previous experience and proficient in the use of handheld power tools, such as air tools, diamond cutters and grinders.
  • To be able to understand metric tape measures confidently.
  • Previous experience and use of robotics (beneficial)
  • Ability to read and understand detailed engineering drawings (beneficial)
  • Adjust settings of manufacturing equipment
  • Setting up required tooling
  • Practical with high attention to detail
  • Ability to work to deadlines.
  • High work ethic & team player
  • Effective communication includes speaking, writing, active listening and taking instructions
  • To wear airfed / respiratory equipment and adhere to PPE guidance.
  • Good understanding of Health and Safety
  • Punctual & reliable
  • Flexible approach to overtime
  • Ability to highlight quality issues
  • Good computer skills (desirable)
