We have a new opportunity for the Transport Planner to join our National Transport Team.Transport Planner - The Role:
To plan day to day effective and efficient routes for EESW vehicle fleet to maximise waste volumes collected and minimise operational costs.
Using planning software and own knowledge, produce routes which are achievable / feasible whilst maximising resource utilisation and considering legal restrictions.
Operate planning software to produce effective and efficient routes.Plan routes within legal limits and driver working time.
Produce and review all driver schedules and collection paperwork on a daily basis.
Produce day to day reports and KPIs on planning efficiency and resource availability and utilisation.
Manage on time calls by prioritising customers when planning.
Transport Planner - Knowledge, Training, Experience, Technical and
Personal Skills:
Experience of planning using automated routing TMS software such as Paragon, Optrak or similar.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills and strong telephone manner.
Positive and motivated with flexible and adaptable attitude.
Ability to be flexible and adapt to changing situations and / or systems.
A flexible attitude to the team's work, including a willingness to reprioritise and undertake additional tasks if required.
Strong PC and technical knowledge and skills with a good working knowledge of the Microsoft packages including Word and Excel.
Experience working within waste industry most desirable, however, alternate industries with relevant experience will be considered.No agencies please
