Description

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an Emergency Preparedness, Resilience and Response Administrative Assistant to join our busy Emergency Planning Team.

The NHS needs to plan for, and respond to, a wide range of incidents and emergencies that could affect health or patient care.

These could be anything from extreme weather conditions to an outbreak of an infectious disease or a major transport accident.

The Civil Contingencies Act requires NHS organisations, and providers of NHS-funded services, to show that they can deal with such incidents while maintaining services.

This programme of work is referred to in the health community as emergency preparedness, resilience and response (EPRR).

This is an exciting and varied role and will assist the EPRR Manager with delivery and coordination of Emergency Preparedness, Resilience and Response and Business Continuity activity for North Bristol Trust.

While this role is predominantly based in Southmead, there may be a requirement to be able to travel around other areas and work from other sites.

Close collaboration with the EPRR Team, Trust managers and all teams across NBT will be essential in order to keep emergency and business continuity plans updated.

Duties include assisting the EPRR Team with the day-to-day management and delivery of training and exercises, providing comprehensive administrative and secretarial support, maintaining records and the distribution of relevant information.

To use initiative in referring issues to other relevant parties as appropriate, ensuring confidentiality and security of information is maintained at all times.

NBT Cares.

It's a very simple statement; one which epitomises how everybody across our organisation goes the extra mile to ensure our patients get the best possible care.

NBT Cares is also an acronym, standing for caring, ambitious, respectful and supportive - our organisational values.

And our NBT Cares values are underpinned by our positive behaviours framework - a framework that provides clear guidance on how colleagues can work with one another in a constructive and supportive way.
