Join our Buildings Civil Engineering Team as our new Senior Civil Engineering Technician / BIM Lead and work with us to close the gap to a sustainable future.
As our new Senior Civil Engineering Technician / BIM Lead, you will be part of a highly dynamic, 300-strong, multi-disciplinary buildings practice contributing to and leading the Civil Engineering modelling for some of the industry's most innovative and sustainable building projects across the UK.
You will play a vital role in shaping project success through effective modelling, coordination, and mentorship, promoting and encouraging collaboration between the Civil and Structural teams and our external collaborators, to ensure projects are delivered efficiently and with the highest quality standards.
Oversee the production and coordination of BIM models relating to the Civil Engineering disciplineDevelop and implement BIM practices within the Civil Engineering team utilising the latest digital techniques, ensuring the Team keeps pace with and strives to improve on current industry standards
Assist the Team Director in developing a digital strategy with short, medium and long term targets
Mentor and guide junior team members, enhancing their skill knowledge and BIM practices as well as ensuring compliance with BIM standards by encouraging high quality outputs.
You will be part of Buildings Civil Engineering Team based in either the Birmingham, Southampton or Manchester offices.We support our Buildings Practice across the UK helping to deliver a diverse workload including commercial, residential, education, healthcare, heritage, industrial, defense, custodial and other Government funded sectors.
Our team is currently based out of four Ramboll UK offices with most team-mates choosing to work in a hybrid office / home location.

BEng (Hons) in Civil Engineering and be working towards Incorporated Engineer status with the Institution of Civil EngineersAutodesk AutoCAD and REVIT proficient with working knowledge of Civils 3D.
Experience of working in a collaborative, federated BIM environment using clash detection software as necessary.
Be able to think outside the box in order to identify improved procedures, protocols and methods in order to improve our modelling Contract deliverables
