Description
To support the People Team to deliver an effective people service to the business by providing:

  • people managers with the right information to help them lead their teams;
- colleagues with a 'customer focused' service related to their employment
- the People team with efficient processes which enable them to focus on departmental objectives.

To act as the first point of contact for People queries, escalating as required.


Administration

  • To ensure that all peoplerelated administration is accurate and uptodate, including the content of all personal files stored on the HR/ People system.
  • To work with the People Manager to ensure continuous improvement of existing people policies and processes to develop, streamline and maintain processes; to challenge the status quo and drive improvement across the organisation.
  • To act as the 'super user' and expert for the HR/ People system, ensuring that all stored data is accurate and uptodate, and held in compliance with GDPR principles.
  • To use technology to produce reports and drive efficiencies in how people and processes are managed, from beginning to end of the employment relationship.
  • To provide guidance and support on people administrative matters to colleagues and managers.
  • To Support the Recruitment Team where necessary with new starter activity: drafting employment contracts, right to work and setting up personal files in the shared drive.
  • To be responsible for requesting references, carrying out relevant employment checks, setting up personal files on the HR/ People system, notifying relevant departments (IT, L&D, Finance and Business Change) conducting HR welcome as part of inductions, adding to relevant Teams channels.
  • To administer all other processes such as contract variations, maternity/paternity leave requests, leavers, benefits/payroll administration etc.

Temporary contract

Contract length: 2 months


Salary:
£11.00-£12.82 per hour


Schedule:

  • Monday to Friday

Ability to commute/relocate:

  • M1 1JA: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

Experience:


  • Human resources: 1 year (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

  • HR Admin experience (preferred)
