Service Care Legal are recruiting for a Childcare Lawyer to join a busy Children's Social Care Legal Team.

The primary focus of the post is to run a varied caseload of care and placement proceedings, more details below:

ROLE: Childcare Lawyer

LOCATION:
Newcastle upon Tyne

CONTRACT:
3 Months On going (Hybrid)

RATE:
£40-£55ph (depending on experience)

The Role

Handle you own case load from start to completion.
Provide effective legal advice in respect of fostering, adoption and other general children's social care matters.
Confident in running a varied caseload of care and placement proceedings.
You will be expected to undertake a level of advocacy commensurate with your experience
Hybrid working will be possible as you will need to attend court hearings.

The Person

A Qualified solicitor, someone with a minimum of 2 years of PQE in Children's Law
Experience of working in a local authority would be advantageous, however Lawyers from Private Practice will also be considered.
Confident in communicating and working well within a team

We also welcome referrals for this position, where a successful recommendation would be worth £250.
