Basic salary £38,000, plus £5,000 car allowance.

You'll be working on collecting payments from resident communities within the BTR portfolios on behalf of the Landlord.

You'll be communicating and engaging with a mixture of high-end professionals from across the world who expect a high standard of service.

It's safe to say that this isn't your ordinary Collections role.


This role will require regular travel to client sites, so you will need to be comfortable with spending time on the road.

This role would be great for someone who thrives when interacting with teams at client sites as well as having the opportunity to plan and organise your week whilst working from home.


What will you be doing?

  • Reviewing customer consumption versus payments on a regular basis and making recommendations for required changes
  • Liaising with site teams to agree strategies, communication and next steps to enhance the likelihood of collecting billed debt
  • Attending site to discuss outstanding amounts directly with residents
  • Supporting in the planning and administration of communications to customers and clients
  • Managing payment exceptions and failures and dealing with related customer queries
  • Reporting on payment performance
  • Supporting site teams in management of final debt at point of homemove
  • Supporting the Head of Billing and Debt in management of data passed to Debt Collection Agencies (DCA)

What does good look like?

  • Experience in a Collections function within the utility sector cross utility would be desired
  • Familiarity with Ability to Pay regulations and debt support resources
  • Confident to set achievable and timely payment plans where appropriate
  • Experience of IVAs
  • Familiarity with Stripe/Direct Debit and BACS payment methods
  • Strong resilience and negotiation skills
  • Experience of interfacing with Debt Collection Agencies
  • Confident and friendly; motivated to help customers fix problems
