- To be a font of knowledge for outdoor learning, opportunities and associated health and safety
- Working closely with class teachers and other colleagues, the outdoor learning technician is responsible for assisting pupils in making a greater connection with nature and with the local area and community by supporting specific appropriate activities.
- Support the leadership team with developing the outdoor learning provision including the use and development areas within both schools.
- To support class teachers and subject leaders to map exciting outdoor learning activities across the curriculum.
- Support staff in the delivery of outdoor learning initiatives, helping to embed skills and to maximise the expertise of all staff.
- To work alongside the SLT to ensure the needs all of pupils, including SEND and disadvantaged pupils
- To ensure that proper precautions are taken in respect of health & safety and ensure that facilities and equipment are checked and appropriately prepared for each session. To confirm that legislation relating to health, safety and welfare of children and staff is complied with at all times.
- Ensure all necessary risk assessments are completed and kept up to date
- Ensure all necessary agreed training is completed and kept up to date
