    Federation Outdoor Learning Technician - Federation of Holy Trinity and Little Marlow Church of England Schools

    Location: Marlow

    Term time only

    Salary Type: Bucks pay

    Salary details: Range 3-16 £27,310 Full Time Equivalent

    Contract type: Permanent

    Hours: 29.75

    • To be a font of knowledge for outdoor learning, opportunities and associated health and safety

    • Working closely with class teachers and other colleagues, the outdoor learning technician is responsible for assisting pupils in making a greater connection with nature and with the local area and community by supporting specific appropriate activities.

    • Support the leadership team with developing the outdoor learning provision including the use and development areas within both schools.

    • To support class teachers and subject leaders to map exciting outdoor learning activities across the curriculum.

    • Support teachers with their development of practical elements of the school's curriculum incorporating learning outside of the classroom.

    • To prepare and collate the appropriate resources and tools for sessions

    • Support staff in the delivery of outdoor learning initiatives, helping to embed skills and to maximise the expertise of all staff.

    • To work alongside the SLT to ensure the needs all of pupils, including SEND and disadvantaged pupils

    • Participate in reflective practice, session debriefs and where necessary maintaining accurate records and registers

    • To assist with site care maintenance and upkeep of equipment, including equipment checks, logging issues and replacing and repairing/arranging repair/replacement of damaged equipment.

    • To ensure that proper precautions are taken in respect of health & safety and ensure that facilities and equipment are checked and appropriately prepared for each session. To confirm that legislation relating to health, safety and welfare of children and staff is complied with at all times.

    • Ensure all necessary risk assessments are completed and kept up to date

    • Ensure all necessary agreed training is completed and kept up to date

    You will need to have:
    GCSE Maths C and English C or above as a minimum.
    Appropriate training in outdoor learning aspects including but not restricted to:
    Fire safety
    Use of Knives
    Outdoor Learning First Aid
    Experience in working with EYFS/KS1/KS2 pupils
    Experience in working in an outdoor learning setting
