- System Design and initial documentation.
- Project implementation including PLC programming, HMI and SCADA (primarily InTouch) configuration.
- Supervision of subcontractors, mainly panel builders.
- Setup and testing of the project components prior to customer inspection or before shipping.
- Compilation of a full documentation package at project completion.
- Providing a small amount of ad hoc technical support to our customers (once you are trained)
- Attending various UK sites to conduct basic routine maintenance checks on existing installations. These visits are occasional.
- Assisting other engineers or our customers with site commissioning where applicable. These visits are rare.
- You should be qualified to at least HNC level or have suitable experience in the Industrial Automation and Control field.
- Have prior experience with PLC programming and/or SCADA configuration
- Be able to provide a proven track record of your experience to date with references.
- Excellent written English skills are essential, and you need to have clear and confident verbal communication skills.
- Have the knowledge and skills to solve problems effectively.
- Be naturally self-motivated, with good organisational ability, and the drive and commitment to meet deadlines which may be tight at times.
- Very importantly, you need to be a team player.
- Due to the nature of the clientele that they work with, you will need to agree to be security vetted to SC level which includes a criminal record check. To get this clearance you will need to have been a UK resident for at least 5 years. If you have been through this process before or if you already have at least a baseline security clearance in place, it would be advantageous but not essential.
- Willing to undergo routine drug and alcohol tests as part of the vetting process.
- A full clean UK driving licence.
