    This includes creating and shaping proposals in response to customer ITTs/RFQs, co-ordinating proposal inputs from other departments, and generating detailed cost estimates, ensuring the timely submission of high-quality competitive proposals.

    The Proposal Engineer will work closely with Sales Managers in support of proposal clarifications and contract negotiations with customers.


    Working closely with Sales Managers, drive opportunities from receipt of ITT/RFQ to contract award following the businesses gated proposals process, ensuring adherence to the workflow and required approvals/governance.


    • Lead internal proposal approval meetings pre-contract, and sales-to-projects handover meetings post-contract, to ensure a smooth journey through the proposals process and transition to the project process.
    • Co-ordinate and consolidate proposal inputs aligned to customer requirements and the agreed proposals tactics to create compelling competitive commercial and technical proposals. Inputs will include technical specifications, time schedules, HSEQ and legal information, which are obtained via collaboration with internal departments.
    • Generate detailed and sometimes complex cost estimates for a range of engineered products using Excel spreadsheets or similar tools. Work closely with Engineering to ensure these align with the technical specification provided and with Supply Chain to ensure appropriate material costs are used.
    • Work closely with Sales Managers to generate competitive pricing and commercial proposals.
    • Demonstrate strong writing skills in preparing detailed and professional technical and commercial proposals.
    • Attend global customer meetings remotely and occasionally in-person during the pre-contract stage. Minimum of 3 years' experience in similar roles in the offshore wind or oil and gas industry.
    • High level of both technical and commercial acumen.
    • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel.
