Teaching Assistant required to support children on a 1-2-1 basis for a Year 6 child with special educational needs, at a brilliant Birmingham primary school.

Are you a Teaching Assistant who has experience supporting children with Autism and ADHD.

Thisvibrant primary school is looking to add a Teaching Assistant with Key Stage 2 experience to the team in readiness for September, to support a child on a 1-2-1 basis for the whole academic year.

This role requires a patient, empathetic and caring TeachingAssistant, who can greet every day with a smile

As a Teaching Assistant at this school you will primarily be working on a 1-2-1 basis, however may be asked to provide additional support on group activities.

You will be joining a small and experienced team of Teaching Assistants and Teachers, who go aboveand beyond to make this school outstanding.

This role requires a Level 3 Teaching Assistant Qualification and previous experience working as a teaching assistantor classroom assistant within a primary school.


Job Role:

  • Supporting a Year 6 child with additional needs on a 121 basis
  • Acting as a whole class Teaching Assistant when the child is not in school
  • Supporting the teacher in lessons and keeping the child on task
  • Providing intervention sessions on a 121 basis
  • Helping the child to get the most out of education and enjoy school life
