We operate 24 hours a day, seven days a week from our 4 operation centres in Australia, Canada, Malaysia, and the UK, responding to the cries for help we receive from travellers across the globe.

So, what's the job?

You'll provide expert medical advice with respect to medical assistance cases to determine coverability once active assistance service have ceased
You'll use your clinical expertise to recommend decisions for approvals, declines, or request further information with respect to a customer's existing medical conditions
You'll meet the minimum number of assessments allocated in line with business requirements and contribute proactively to team achievement of performance targets in collaboration with Team Leader including; service expectations, productivity, achievement of KPI's, behavioural expectations, and general operational performance and compliance
You'll liaise with Internal Dispute Resolution (IDR) and External Dispute Resolution (EDR) teams as required, demonstrating an interest in and understanding of others
You'll provide exceptional customer service to customers within company guidelines. You'll act to deliver good outcomes for our customers by putting customers at the heart of what you do. This includes acting in good faith to customers; avoiding causing foreseeable customer harm; supporting customers in their financial objectives; and calling out if you see practices that are in conflict with this

And what are we looking for?

You'll be registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Council currently
You'll have at least 5 years' of clinical experience, ideally with previous role experience as a medical assessor
You'll have sound knowledge of a broad range of medical terminology, diseases and predisposing conditions and are able to interpret policy to a medical condition
You'll have a high level of proficiency with computer systems (Microsoft Office, administration and database management skills), this role requires you to use multiple screens and programs
You'll be self-motivated and able to work under own initiative while working effectively within a team
