Finance Analyst in to their team on a permanent basis.
Working from their UK office in
Derby, you'll work closely with the Business Support Team and provide Financial Analysis and insight to improve outputs and support strategic planning.
- Working with the finance team and wider business to develop strategic models for use in the futures project.
- Developing and maintaining agile cost and programme models.
- Working with internal stakeholders to create and maintain cost information for use in internal and external reporting.
- Working with the Business Support Team to ensure collective on time delivery of deliverables (to include reporting, reconciliations and other activities), preparation of month end statutory actuals and communication of any issues liaising with HQ, FinanceService Centre or external auditors where required.
- Decision support and scenario analysis as requested by the Business and Business Partners
- Preparation of forecasts, including communication of any issues, preparation of reporting packs.
- Maximising the use of standardised models, ensuring the accuracy, meeting of deadlines and ensuring that all work is compliant.
- Actively working with the business and associated finance business partners, supporting the Improvement Journey to Process Excellence and proactively engaging in improvement activities.
- Participating in and helping drive forward the Finance Service Delivery Model, to help prepare the business for growth and efficiency.
Key experience needed (ideally one or more of the following)

Government contract reporting experience:

Project Accounting experience:

Experience of working in a Blue Chip company
What are you like?
- Fully qualified accountant
(ACA, ACCA or CIMA preferred)
- Educated to degree level or equivalent experience.
Government accounting experience desirable
- Forecasting, budgeting and cost accounting experience.
- Knowledge of financial systems
(SAP):
Contract review process experience.
- Basic experience in the preparation of Business Evaluations/ business cases.
