Ador Talent are working with an Engineering company based in Darwen/Blackburn, who design, build, operate and maintain centralised and efficient engineering solutions.

Our client now requires several experienced Billing Administrators to join their Credit Billing team who currently manage utility accounts for over 20,000 customers.


The Role

  • 50% customer service and 50% administration this is an approximate depending on the workload
  • Issuing of monthly and quarterly credit bills and credit billing reminders for assigned contracts ensuring that the correct business processes are followed at all times
  • Carrying out credit billing contract procedures which include reminder notices for overdue bills and monthly reports for clients and internal reporting
  • Daily management of direct debit requests including set up, verifications and amendments of direct debit mandates and preparation of direct debit collection files
  • Administration tasks in relation to new customer account requests
  • Ensuring contract data is cleansed and maintained regularly in compliance with our contractual obligations
  • Proactive monitoring and maintenance of client documentation ensuring all business systems are accurate and in accordance with GDPR regulations
  • Ensuring that the company credit management system is updated with all communication and is the single source of information
  • Liaising with senior coordinators to support the mobilisation of new contract awards and the onboarding of new customers
  • Ad hoc administration duties as and when required

Experience Required

  • Previous experience working within a customer service role (ideally managing bills, direct debits etc)
  • Knowledge & experience of working with electronic customer service systems
  • Purchasing/ invoicing experience (desirable)
  • Strong customer focus with excellent customer service skills including confidentiality, tact and diplomacy
  • Knowledge and understanding of GDPR regulations in relation to processing of sensitive personal information
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • A flexible approach to managing workload with the ability to work to deadlines and able to prioritise and perform tasks under pressure
  • Work effectively as part of a team and help build relationships within it to achieve team goals
  • Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word
