Our mission is to ensure these crucial medical devices are readily available in communities, schools, workplaces, and public spaces, aiding in saving lives during sudden cardiac arrest incidents. We tirelessly work towards raising awareness, providing education, and facilitating the donation and placement of AEDs in key locations. The organisation has 3 retail outlets with further stores planned and a donation centre to support the ongoing work of the charity.
Job Description:
AEDdonate is searching for a dynamic and experienced Fundraising Manager to join our team. As Fundraising Manager, you will play a pivotal role in securing the financial resources necessary to support our mission and expand our impact. Your responsibilities will include developing and implementing strategic fundraising initiatives, cultivating relationships with donors and sponsors, and overseeing all aspects of our fundraising efforts.
Key Responsibilities:
· Develop and execute comprehensive fundraising strategies to meet annual revenue targets and organisational goals.
· Identify and cultivate relationships with individual donors, corporate sponsors, foundations, and other potential funding sources.
· Plan and coordinate fundraising events, campaigns, and initiatives to engage supporters and raise awareness of our mission.
· Create compelling fundraising materials, including grant proposals, letters, and donor communications.
· Manage donor stewardship activities to ensure ongoing engagement and retention of supporters.
· Collaborate with the marketing and communications strategy to integrate fundraising messaging and activities into overall organisational outreach efforts.
· Monitor and evaluate fundraising performance, track donor data, and prepare regular reports for senior management and the Board of Trustees.
· Stay informed about trends and best practices in fundraising and philanthropy to continuously improve our fundraising strategies and tactics.
Experience
· Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in fundraising, development, or related roles, preferably within the non-profit sector.
· Proven track record of successfully raising funds from diverse sources, including individual donors, corporate partners, and grant-making organisations.
· Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build and maintain relationships with donors, sponsors, volunteers, and other stakeholders.
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate our mission and fundraising needs compellingly.
· Highly organised with strong project management skills and the ability to multitask and prioritise in a fast-paced environment.
· Proficiency in fundraising software, donor databases, and Microsoft Office Suite
· Passion for the mission and values of AEDdonate and a commitment to making a positive impact in the community.
