Are you a Project Manager looking for development, variety, challenge and progression?
As a Project Manager in AQA you will lead on a variety of people, process and technology projects , typically from 6 months to 2 years in duration and whilst initially you will initially be assigned to a core strategic programme you may work on multiple projects depending on scale and business priorities.
You will be excellent at forging relationships and networks across multi-site organisations, whilst inspiring others towards our vision of shaping world class practice across the education sector.
You will be able to apply your extensive Project Management skills to a wide range of outcome focussed change initiatives with the customer always in mind .
You will be working with a variety of stakeholders up to executive and senior leadership and be joining a supportive, collaborative, team of like-minded Programme and Project Management professionals who are at the heart of delivering an ambitious portfolio of change across the business.
You will have access from day one to an i ncredible pension scheme with employee and employer contributions jointly totalling, up to 18.25 days annual leave allowance rising with service to 30 plus Bank Holidays and additional office closure over the Christmas period.
The whole team are encouraged to work on their own development, studying towards something of personal interest and specific to project management with access to an incredible Learning Management System and tailored courses.
AQA work in a smart hybrid way.This team are in the office for a minimum of two days per week or as business dictates - meetings are more productive in person, so you will need to live within a commutable distance of the Manchester office .

Responsible for managing and delivering a range of key operational small/medium sized projects in the strategic and core portfolios.
Working with internal and external stakeholders and senior leadership to ensure delivery of project meeting time, cost and quality requirements.
Being trusted and reliable in assessment design and delivery Effectively influence and build relationships with a range of senior stakeholders, ensuring engagement and support across all aspects of project delivery.
Demonstrates commercial flexibility by undertaking other responsibilities which are of a commensurate level as business needs change.Ensuring sound financial management and a robust asset base Work with colleagues in Operations and key stakeholders elsewhere in AQA to ensure that project plans are in line with wider capacity plans and resources are available to meet needs.
Ensure projects are delivered within agreed budgets.Delivering quality products and outcomes – as recognised by the customer Ensure that project outputs and outcomes are clearly articulated and that progress to their achievement is effectively managed.
Produce core project components as appropriate to the size of the project, such as business cases, project plans, PIDs, etc., Plan effectively for the whole project lifecycle - with approved clear migration from project initiation to embedding within delivery teams.
Proactively identify risks and issues as early as possible to take corrective action.Ensures AQA is safe and legally compliant by applying AQA's policies and other legislative requirements including but not limited to HSE, Equal Opportunities and ISMS.
Ensuring we have great people achieving their potential Coach and motivate the project teams, delivering support, driving best practice, developing skills and ensuring learnings are captured.
In conjunction with the management team across Operations, drive effective and seamless working across the Operations Group, ensuring a 'one team' approach, with coherent and consistent aims, objectives and actions, and supporting initiatives as required.
Produces high levels of performance from direct reports and teams by modelling leadership behaviours with confidence and providing clarity, challenge, feedback, coaching and development in line with business objectives.
