    Description

    JOB ROLE:

    SENIOR CIVIL ENGINEER
    salary sacrifice scheme for annual leave
    ~24 days holiday plus bank holidays increasing with service
    ~ Bonus of 10% if targets are achieved
    ~ Overage bonus
    ~ Bike to work scheme
    ~ working from home 2 days a week if desired
    ~ flexible working hours around core hours of 10 – 4
    ~ parking on site

    Our client a fast growing and award winning consultancy is looking to add to their team a Senior Civil Engineer.

    Qualifications required for the Senior Civil Engineer post.


    • Incorporated Engineer (IEng) [or working towards] with the Institution of Civil Engineers
    • A degree or HND in Civil Engineering
    Experience required to be considered for the role of Senior Civil Engineer


    • Experience working with local authorities, developers and architects on civil engineering aspects of residential, commercial and retirement/care schemes
    • Varied experience working on schemes through the planning process; Civil engineering project management experience including projects combining drainage, external works and highways elements.
    Work within a Civil Engineering design team responsible for the design of drainage systems, highway layouts, and S278/S38 schemes,


    • Work in a design office, with regular exposure to developers, architects and local authorities.
    • o Drainage systems in accordance with Sewers for Adoption, building regulations and the SuDS Manual.
    o On and off-site highway features, in accordance with the appropriate standards and codes e.g. Be responsible for writing fee proposals,


    • Proficient in AutoCAD and Site 3D or equivalent 3D software,
    • Have knowledge of and willing to learn other engineering software,
    • Reviewing of junior team members reports, design and drawing work,
    • Co-operate with the Quality Management System (QMS) through undertaking administrative activities
    • Mentoring and training of junior staff
