SEN Teaching Assistant -Wigan

Are you an experienced 1-1 Teaching Assistant looking for work in Wigan from January?


A large 2 -form entry Primary School in Wigan is looking for a SEN Teaching assistant to work full time Monday to Friday from January This role is to work 32.5 hours per week working from January until July 2023.

Daily pay rates are between £75-£85.

This school is looking for an experienced, committed, and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join their supportive KS1 team. This role is to work with 1:1 with a child within year 1.

Your role will be to support a child on a 1:1 who has challenging behaviour,the child struggles to remain in the classroom for the duration of the day and part of the role will be working with the child 1-1 in the breakout areas of KS1 phase, the child benefits greatly from a calm and consistent approach.

To join us and be successful in this role you will need to:

  • Qualified to NVQ level 2 qualification (or equivalent) or higher
  • Experience of working with SEND
  • Experience of the KS1 Curriculum
  • Knowledge of the intervention strategies
  • Enhanced DBS Disclosure, Overseas Police Clearances (if applicable) and professional reference checks
  • CV must cover the last 10 years of employment history where possible
  • Legal right to work in the UK
