    The Opportunity:

    The role of Information Product Management Assistant revolves around supporting all activities related to product procurement and management. This includes managing a portfolio of products in alignment with global and regional Knowledge strategies and procurement guidelines. The assistant will play a key role in implementing strategic vendor management initiatives, strengthening relationships with key vendors, and focusing on maximizing return on investment.

    About the role:

    As part of this position, the successful candidate will:

    Responsibilities:

    • Service Orientation
    • Build and maintain strong internal relationships across various departments
    • Support regional teams in managing supplier contracts and achieving savings targets
    • Promote I&R services firm-wide
    • Contribute to Knowledge projects
    • Knowledge & Expertise
    • Promote and troubleshoot I&R resources and products offered by the Firm
    • Manage access requests and provide licensing advice
    • Implement guidelines for new product requests and conduct trials
    • Assist in delivering information resources and product training
    • Co-ordinate product management and invoice processing
    • Continuous improvement of IPM policies and processes
    • People Management
    • Collaborate with other business professionals to achieve goals
    • Operational Efficiencies, Quality and Risk Mitigation
    • Champion the appropriate use of all products

    Essential Criteria:

    To be successful in this role you will need:

    Skills and Experience:

    • Relevant undergraduate degree (library, information services, information management, etc. desirable)
    • Experience with library and information and research products in a professional services environment
    • Experience in negotiation with internal stakeholders and/or external bodies
    • Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and build strong relationships
