    Our client, an innovative company at the cutting edge of electric propulsion technology in aerospace, requires a talented Manufacturing Engineer to join its dynamic team to develop, improve, and support the operations manufacturing processes and equipment to enable volume production of our products to customers

    Responsibilities:

    • Evaluating manufacturing processes by designing and conducting research programs; applying knowledge of product design, testing, assembly, tooling, and materials; soliciting observations from operators
    • Supporting manufacturing demand by relieving bottlenecks and problem-solving production constraints; attending breakdowns and reacting efficiently to escalation from manufacturing teams
    • Developing manufacturing processes by studying product requirements; researching, designing, modifying, and testing manufacturing methods and equipment; conferring with equipment vendors
    • Improve manufacturing efficiency by analysing and planning workflow, space requirements, and equipment layout
    • Assure product and process quality by designing testing methods; testing finished- product and process capabilities; confirming manufacturing processes
    • Provide manufacturing decision-making information by calculating production, labour, and material costs; reviewing production schedules; requesting special serviceRequirements:
    • A degree in an Engineering discipline or equivalent
    • Experience working within an automotive or aerospace Tier 1 in a manufacturing environment
    • Good understanding of continuous improvement methods and lean techniques
    • Familiar with process techniques and documentation such as FMEAs, process flows, work instructions, control plans etc.
    • Hands-on experience with bespoke equipment, tooling, and automation
    • Good understanding of design for assembly and manufacturing constraints for high-volume manufacture
    • Confident with both internal and external customers and suppliers, able to detail requirements and understand issues
    • Strong communication skills (both written and verbal), good collaboration skills, and the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams
    • Creative problem-solving abilities with an analytical approach to implementation,
