Assistant Manager, Asset Management
Our client has an established a track record of award-winning projects and delivers consistent and high returns across real estate asset classes.
This Asset Management role will be responsible for assisting in formulating and executing asset management strategies for student housing assets based in the UK.This role will involve various duties such as asset and portfolio reporting, budgeting, executingenhancement initiatives, preparing financial reports, variance analysis and financial modelling, as well as maintaining relationship with outsourced service providers.

Key Responsibilities of this Assistant Manager, Asset Management role:
- Partnering with assets managers on the annual budgeting and quarterly forecasting exercises for UK assets and preparing presentations for senior management teams
- Conducting monthly variance analysis of financial performance of assets and portfolio;
- Preparing, or assisting senior asset managers in the preparation of, monthly property and finance reports for submission to senior management;
- Gathering and analysing property/portfolio statistics such as rental rates and occupancy;
- Assisting senior asset managers in the financial analysis of capital expenditure feasibility or any other projects
- Liaising with relevant teams such as finance, property management, external operators, asset managers and property managers to ensure accuracy of ageing debts and invoices are correctly processed and paid on time.
Key Qualifications and Skills required for this Assistant Manager, Asset Management role:
- High level of proficiency in MS Excel, able to develop Excel financial models of various sizes.
- Sound understanding of property sector.
- Minimum 5 years relevant experience in advanced financial modelling/analysis
- Experience working with large excel financial models.
- Exceptionally strong interpersonal skills, able to interface with colleagues internally and on a crossborder/remote basis and third parties.
- Bachelor's Degree in Real Estate, Accountancy, Finance or equivalent.
This role offers a salary from £70,000-£75,000 per annum, with potentially 25% bonus, hybrid working and a fantastic working culture.
