Help us make a difference as a Fleet Procurement Co-ordinator covering our National Operational locations from as far south as Cornwall up to Scotland.

The role has the opportunity to be based at either our High Wycombe (HP10 9TD) or Newcastle (NE28 6TZ) offices and will be a Hybrid role, giving the opportunity for a mixture of and office or home working.

The Fleet Procurement Coordinator's key focus is to support a best-in-class procurement function ensuring professional representation both internally and externally and effective responsiveness to business requirements and needs.


The role will be part of the Group Procurement function with priorities of delivering order administration, document collation, analytical support and Capex administration to Biffa standards, policy and processes.


Day to day, the role holder will work closely with third parties and internal stakeholders so a key focus is to build close working relationships which are maintained.


The role is Monday to Friday between prime office hours and will have flexibility to work from home on occasion.

  • Operating with the category team providing support in relation to fleet & project works.
  • Providing admin management to the staff within the team.
  • Working with all other required Biffa departments, attending meetings and providing updates on Capex and ordering workflow, required information, or issuing completed information.
  • Supporting Biffa procurement with the delivery of client rollout programmes reporting time management, cost, and sale activity.
  • Reviewing, creating and managing departmental reports inclusive of time keeping, finance and administration management
  • Aid with the procurement team members movements including diary management and logístical planning
  • Liaising with the Biffa procurement teams managing and reporting on accruals, contractor invoicing and providing detail for the category management reporting.
  • Highlighting main trends in supply market and main characteristics of supplier base.
  • Benchmarking data for supply management activities.
  • Participating in spend categorisation.
  • Participating in supplier segmentation.
  • Supporting the procurement team with contract negotiations.
  • Understanding contract terms and conditions.
  • Reviewing detailed contracts to ensure frameworks and structure is correct.
  • Building and maintaining effective stakeholder relationships to assure successful business performance.

Requirements:

  • Previous exposure to operating in a fleet or procurement function.
  • Experience of working with stakeholders and business units.
  • Previous experience of working and delivering within a complex firm or organisation.
  • An understanding of the requirements of working within a time critical service.
  • Strong commercial focus and numbers driven.
  • Experience of managing sensitive information and maintaining confidentiality.
  • Good skills in creating and editing PowerPoint and Word documents.
  • Flexibility to travel within the UK on rare occasions.
