    We are currently recruiting a temporary cover chef for our client in Arbroath, Angus


    Responsibilities:
    Effective and efficient food production in line with recipe sheetFull knowledge of all menu items serveManagement of production to ensure minimal wastageMaintenance of food levels throughout all service periodMaintenance of food quality and brand standardEnsuring the maintenance of high hygiene and health and safety standards in line with Aramark requirements and identify any anomalies and incidentCapturing and recording all volumes consumed and overproductionAssisting in the compilation of all shift opening and closing checklistDiscussing ideas or improvements with line manageAct as a trainer/ coach for new team members to learn procedures and standards for all kitchen tasksUndertake relevant training as requireIn addition to the above, Chefs may occasionally be required to undertake ad hoc back of house and front of house duties in line with business requirementsALL chef staff must wear long sleeve chef jackets and non slip shoes

    Requirements:
    Proven experience as a kitchen assistant, commis chef, or relevant role is required.
    Basic understanding of culinary techniques and cooking methods.
    Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices.
    Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and under pressure.
    Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
    Strong attention to detail and a passion for food.
