Assistant HR Advisor (Employee Relations) - Ref: RT14723
£25,119 to £28,770 per annum


This is an exciting opportunity to join a busy and committed HR team, supporting the Council to deliver high quality services to the residents of Walsall.


As a member of the team, you will provide support to a range of HR colleagues including Senior HR Advisors.

You will be the first point of contact for customers contacting the HR Advice & Operations team. You will respond to all non-complex queries relating to HR policies, including, discipline, grievance, management of attendance and performance, signposting customers for self-serve if appropriate or escalating to Senior HR Advisors or HR Advisors, all in a timely manner


You will also provide ongoing support to any HR systeM/Functionality redesign to ensure that the service can provide customers with e-access and e-tools to support them with their HR compliancy and any other process improvement activities as requested.


You should have experience of working in a HR environment, good IT skills, good organisational skills, excellent customer service skills and the ability to prioritise work as and when required.

The HR team operate a flexible blended working approach, predominately homeworking but attendance on site as and when required.


This post is covered by the Government's Code of Practice on the English Language Fluency Duty for public sector workers.

The postholder will be required to communicate verbally with customers and provide advice and/or information in accurate spoken English.
