    HVAC Service Engineer

    Paying Door-to-Door travel - home based role

    c£ VAN + Overtime + Private Healthcare + Pension

    Multi-Skilled

    We are working with an established air technology company and they are currently recruiting for a HVAC Service Engineer to join their team. In return for a salary in the region £45.000 along with excellent employment benefits.

    You will be responsible for the South region (mainly London area).

    You will provide Engineering support to the regional client portfolio including technical and engineering needs related to contracted and non-contracted planned maintenance and reactive work.

    Package:

    Basic salary in region of £ flexible)

    Door to Door travel (this is enveloped in a 50hour contract, 40 site based, 10 hours travel, anything additional is classed as overtime)

    Overtime Rates: 1.5 x MonSat, 2x Sunday & Bank Holidays

    Key Responsibilities include:

    1. To attend sites as directed by the service controller / supervisor / manager, to carry out such technical assistance and engineering duties as are required and are within their skills / competence, ensuring a positive customer experience.
    2. To carry out planned preventative maintenance, repair, refurbishment, alteration, modification or commissioning of plant and equipment as contracted to the company.
    3. To carry out maintenance, repair, refurbishment, alteration, modification or commissioning of plant and equipment as not covered by a maintenance contract with the company.
    4. To produce daily/weekly reports, timesheets, etc, providing all necessary details to enable the Administrative Staff to collate records, prepare invoices and manage the business effectively. The documentation should arrive in the respective regional office at the end of each working day, time sheets and expenses at the end of each working week,
    5. To participate in the regional duty rota system, enabling the company to provide a 24 hour call-out service to its customers and to ensure that reactive call ours are responded to within 4 hours.
    6. To correctly use the resources provided in accordance with requirements. These will include equipment such as company clothing, Person Protective Equipment, Laptops, test equipment, access equipment, refrigerant, stock, vehicles and documentation. Details of correct and safe usage will be contained in allied documentation where applicable. Any problems, faults, etc, must be reported promptly to the job-holder's immediate line Manager.
    7. To prepare risk assessments on site, where required, to achieve compliance with health, safety and environmental duties.
    8. To ensure that his/her work is of the highest reasonably achievable standard, enabling the company to achieve ongoing regulatory compliance, as part of the Technical and Quality Assurance Process.
    9. To work in conformance with the company's requirements and procedures, as detailed in the Business Management System, Health & Safety Procedures, and other related documentation.
    10. To identify opportunities to add value to the client through the provision of additional / alternative services, and to report such opportunities to his/her line manager.
    11. To assist in the local sales activities by submitting sales leads, on the correct app, to the sales team, thus making a personal sales contribution.
    12. To participate in meetings, briefings, training courses as and when requested, as part of the company's overall communications and development processes.
    13. To assume day-to-day control of apprentices or trainees who may be placed with him/her, and to liaise with the relevant supervisors with regard to their progress and well-being.
    14. To carry out any other reasonable task, appropriate to his/her trade or profession, and for which he/she is trained and competent, as requested by the Service Manager or supervisor, in a manner conducive to good business practice.
    15. To uphold the good name of the company at all times, and not to disclose confidential information, relating to the company or the client, to third parties.
    16. To complete comprehensive records relating to F Gas compliance using the Global Service App based F Gas tracking system. Uploading all required documentation relating to F Gas. For Combustion all relevant documents as per BMS 8
    Requirements:

    1. City and Guilds 2079 City and Guilds or NVQ 2 in Refrigeration and Air-Conditioning
    2. Full UK Driving Licence (maximum 6 points on licence and no cases pending)
    3. Qualifications required: F/Gas C&G
    4. Acceptance for DBS, security clearance and other contract clearance checks to be completed as and when necessary.
    5. Excellent understanding of HVAC/ AHU control philosophy and controls equipment
    6. Excellent understanding of BMS communication protocols, especially BACnet and Modbus
    7. Excellent fault diagnosis on all forms of packaged HVAC control systems
    8. Geographical knowledge of the area
    Special Conditions (Physical, Psychological, or Work Demands):

    1. Standby on weekly rota
    2. Role will involve lifting/ loading and driving long distances at times and/or to several locations per day will be required and are an integral part of this job.
    3. Willing to work at height and in confined spaces when required.
    4. Enhanced disclosure through DBS or Disclosure Scotland (PVG) as required by the Company, the results of which must be considered satisfactory as work involves entry to schools, hospitals and other restricted establishments.
