- Ideally have experience of working on cranes but can be trained on cranes if not
- Conducting regular services, maintenance, inspections, and repairs on the fleet of cranes, including mobile, tower, and crawler cranes.
- Diagnose faults and implement corrective measures on the fleet of cranes.
- Perform routine checks and scheduled maintenance to prevent breakdowns and ensure longevity of equipment.
- Work alongside the operations team to coordinate maintenance schedules and minimise downtime.
- Ensure all safety regulations and company policies are adhered to.
- Keep accurate records of work carried out and parts utilized.
- Provide technical support and advice to the team and clients when required.
- Take part in continuous training and development to keep up with industry standards and technological advancements.
- Occasional need to travel to site in the event of a break down.
- Qualifications such as an NVQ Level 3 in Plant/Heavy Vehicles Maintenance or equivalent.
- Previous experience as a Crane Fitter, Plant Mechanic, or a similar role.
- Previous knowledge of hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems.
- Familiarity in working in line with health and safety standards
- Ability to work well independently and as part of a team.
- A valid UK driving licence.
- CPCS Card Holder or equivalent would be desirable
- Welding and fabrication skills desirably.
- Within a commutable distance of Grays.
- £18.00 an hour.
- 40 Hour working week (Monday-Friday 8:30-4:30).
- Overtime available.
- 31 days holiday inclusive of bank holidays.
