Global CTS are recruiting for a thriving electronics design consultancy who are looking for a
Design Managerto technically and commercially lead a team of engineers whose role is developing new electronic products for clients.

This new exciting role is key to this relatively new small business and is a brand new role. Working very closely with the business owner with opportunities to grow the business to new heights.

The ideal Design Engineering Manager will be an ideas person, notbe scared to think outside the box, will have ideas about growing the business, with a view to take the business on in years to come.

Having an Electronics' qualification of some description is a must, however attitude above all else is paramount.
The nature of this role is truly customer facing and requires deep technical knowledge and experience, but also recognition that the essence of the role is to facilitate

Prime responsibilities are:

lead conversion; leading problem solving (commercial and technical);initiatives to expedite invoicing; evolution and growth of the technical function; active role in driving the company's growth.

Requirements:

Graduate/higher engineering qualification OR lower technical qualifications supported by practical skills and abilities.
Technical competence in the field of electronics design and development as you would be in leading a team
Project planning and management
Working knowledge of PCB/PCBA manufacture and its processes
Able to coordinate operations, i.e., ordering and receipt of PCBAs
Able to manage sales funnel from quoting stage onwards
You should have a experience of Customer/Client management skills (As you will be the main relationship holder between clients
Leading and motivating staff (mainly engineers)
