Provide Business Support/Administrative Support and ReceptionJob Purpose
- Reception
The workshop undertakes mechanical and electrical repairs and servicing to County Council vehicles as well as for some other bodies.
The workshop reception desks hours are 07:45 to 15:45 Monday to Thursday and 07:45 to 15:15 on Friday and the post holder would generally be required to cover the reception during these times
The post holder would be required to undertake various duties, including answer telephone calls and undertaking reception enquiries from both internal LCC operating units and outside organisations that make use of the services provided by the workshop, completing statutory and internal monitoring documentation, general administration and other functions commensurate with the Grade.
Accountabilities/Responsibilities
- Assisting with duties in relation to accurate and timely payments and maintenance of data within financial systems
- Assisting with the collection and collation of statistics, data, financial information or other Management Information
- Respond to and resolve where appropriate enquiries generated by the service
- Providing administrative support such as for meetings, which could include arranging dates, room bookings and minute taking
- Administering financial systems such as journal transfers, processing invoices, issuing receipts, ledger maintenance, reconciliations or similar
Qualifications
- Minimum of 4 GCSE's, or equivalent, including English and Maths
Experience
- Previous relevant experience or the ability to demonstrate the competence to carry out the job
- Experience of working in a reception environment (D)
- Previous experience of taking payment from external customers and appreciation of handling cash and cheques
Job Types:
