Description
This is an exciting opportunity for a clinical research fellow to help design, set-up and perform a new human model of Staphylococcus aureus (S. aureus) skin infection.

This model will be used to study the early host-pathogen interactions and evolution of the immune response following staphylococcal infection, and to develop better diagnostic definitions and tests for skin and soft tissue infection.

The successful applicant will have responsibilities including the design and setup of initial studies to support the approach to be taken in a subsequent skin infection model (including submission for approvals where needed).

This could include both clinical studies involving research participants and contributing to the development of the Patient and Public Involvement and Engagement portfolio.
