Are you a dynamic, innovative and committed leader of educational psychology?
We are looking for an inspiring Principal Educational Psychologist who can lead and grow our team of Educational Psychologists. Lambeth's EP team is integral to driving inclusion for all children and young people and they are at the heart of our SEND offer. The Principal Educational Psychologist who leads our team will build upon the current - years' service delivery offer and be given resources to expand. We want our Principal Educational Psychologist to innovate and create opportunities for EPs to work in ways that meet the needs of our children, young people, families, and educational settings.
Our Principal Educational Psychologist will lead by example, sharing our core values: they will make a positive impact on the lives of children, and their families. They will support EY, schools, and colleges with complex systemic issues. They will promote the voice of the child and young person by being person centred. They will work collaboratively with partners supporting and informing strategic decision making. They will be excellent at relational-based pedagogy and trauma informed approaches. They will advance the thinking and practices of EPs by being an anti-racist practitioner and leader.
Lambeth's EP team has strong links with our Youth Offending Services, Virtual School for Looked after Children, Early Years and, the Mental Health Support Teams. The team actively engages in multi-agency work, interdisciplinary work, project work and collaborative action research, with many opportunities for team members to train across specialisms in order to create a more flexible and vibrant workforce.
About the Role

You will ensure that high quality statutory psychological advice is delivered in a timely way. You will have an important voice in shaping the SEND and Inclusion agenda across the borough.
Through the delivery of evidence-based practice, support and training to educational settings, the Educational Psychology Service will continue to promote wellbeing and equitable access to learning for all children and young people. With a focus on understanding the systems in which vulnerable children live and learn, the EP service will support children and young people in our educational settings to reach their learning potential, feel positive about themselves as learners, and prepared for the next phase of life.
Supporting you in The Role
