Puro Accountancy are thrilled to be working with a top accounting practice in Reading, who are looking to hire a tax assistant to join their team.

As a successful tax assistant, you are someone who has a strong work ethic and a professional approach.

About the Role

Preparing tax returns for a varied portfolio of corporate and personal clients
The preparation of corporate tax computations for all UK companies.
Filing corporation tax returns via CCH software.
Liaising directly with clients
Responsible for maintaining client records and updating information as required
Resolving client queries with HMRC
Supporting the tax team
Prepare quarterly VAT returns to ensure timely submission.
Manage VAT queries from internal teams.
Provide support to all team members in busy periods

About You

Studying or obtained AAT, ATT. ACA/CTA, ACCA
Relevant experience in a tax practice experience
Selfmotivated, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Proven experience preparing corporate, and partnerships returns
Experience in the preparation of personal tax returns
Proactive, with great customer service skills
Confident and skilled using cloud accounting software's, such as: Xero, Quickbooks, sage
