- Collaborate with the CDTO and stakeholders to develop and measure the data strategy.
- Lead the architecture of theEnterprise Data Hub, ensuring it serves as a reliable source of data for insights and data-driven services.
- Set data architecture standards and practices for the data community.
- Provide blueprints and advice for projects within DDaT and the wider organisation.
- Develop and maintain a reference data architecture to support the strategy.
- Ensure system designs align with data reference architecture and standards.
- Promote the benefits of data architecture across the organisation.
- Oversee the design of data models to meet the organisation's needs.
- Provide expertise in data standards, modelling, governance, analysis, and communication.
- Identify opportunities for innovation in the data space.
- Anticipate and prevent potential problems in the data estate.
- Guide and mentor data governance and data engineering/BI teams.
- Advocate for a strategic focus on data and communicate effectively between technical and non-technical communities.
- Proven experience in data architecture within a complex organisation.
- Expertise in a wide-ranging technology stack including SaaS, PaaS, and custom solutions.
- Experience of working in cloud based environment - Azure or AWS preferred.
- Ability to translate functional and non-functional requirements into architectural direction.
- Strong leadership skills and experience in project delivery.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Knowledge of data governance, data engineering, and BI practices.
- Experience with vendor and supplier management.
