- Coordinating and delivering various ecological services such as habitat/species surveys, impact assessment, and licencing & mitigation.
- Producing detailed reports tailored to different audiences and applications.
- Providing expert ecological advice and training to project teams and clients.
- Reviewing and approving a range of project deliverables for quality assurance.
- Compiling and implementing ecological consents and monitoring strategies.
- Engaging with authorities and building positive relationships.
- Managing a team of ecologists and overseeing their development.
- Formulating fee proposals and managing time allocation effectively.
- Growing the Environmental Technical Team through business development.
- Planning workloads to ensure timely delivery of services.
- Achieving strategic objectives related to ecology and biodiversity.
- Influencing project development by effectively managing ecological risks.
- Meeting utilisation targets and maximizing revenue generation.
- Securing industry awards for ecology/biodiversity initiatives.
- Developing team members to enhance performance.
- Degree in environmental or related field preferred.
- Minimum 3 years' experience in construction/infrastructure sectors.
- Proficiency in field surveys and ecological principles.
- Strong knowledge of legislation and guidance.
- Experience in coordinating ecological services effectively.
- Holder of relevant survey or mitigation licences preferred.
- Attention to detail and effective project management skills.
- Excellent communication skills and stakeholder engagement.
- Ability to encourage innovation and digital services.
- Willingness to travel and adapt to fast-paced environments.
- Experience in training, mentoring, or managing colleagues desirable.
