Maintenance Engineer


Our client based in Chatteris who are a leading manufacturer, are looking for an experienced Multiskilled Maintenance Engineer to join their busy Engineering Department.


Responsibilities:


  • Low voltage electrical work up to 1000v and electrical installations
  • Repairing, servicing and maintaining workshop equipment
  • Reactive breakdowns involving CNC, manual, welding and Lifting machinery
  • Electrical and mechanical fault finding and diagnosis
  • General mechanical plant maintenance
  • Hydraulic, pneumatic and 24v systems
  • Diesel burners, water systems and onsite machinery (MEWP, FLT, E.O.T.C)
  • Coordination with contractors
  • LOLER and LEV systems
  • PPM, servicing and routine maintenance
  • Involvement with Continuous Improvement projects
  • Environmental checks, procedures and compliance
  • Building, drainage and site maintenance
  • Health and safety compliance and improvement along with risk assessments, method statements and permit to work system

Person Specification

  • Multiskilled Maintenance Engineer with Experience within a manufacturing environment
  • Experience in planned preventative and reactive maintenance
  • High level of ability to diagnose and repair faults to an excellent standard
  • Electrical/Mechanical maintenance experience
  • Be able to complete all areas of maintenance across the site including general building and machinery maintenance
  • Ability to work cooperatively within a team and under own initiative when required
  • Committed and flexible attitude to the role and be able to respond proactively to production demands
  • Strong communication skills
  • Basic computer skills

Hours of Work and Pay

  • Monday to Thursday
  • 7.30am to 4.30pm
  • Friday
  • 7.30am to 12.30pm
  • Up to £40,000
