    Job Reference: 35276 Polytec are looking for a Maintenance Technician to join the Estates and Facilities team of our client based in Cambridge.

    You will be responsible for onsite electrical / mechanical servicing and repairs. You will be required to be on-call approximately 6 to 8 weeks each year.


    Responsibilities:
    Electrical and/or mechanical planned and preventive maintenance and reactive maintenance on all plant systems and services Supervising external service providers and contractors Liaise with end users to plan in maintenance works or project works Monitor and identify fault diagnostics, taking appropriate action to resolve these Oversee the operation of steam boilers and systems Requirements: A recognised electrical or mechanical apprenticeship or equivalent qualifications Full UK driving licence Experience of working in a complex building with responsibility for electrical and/or mechanical systems Good working knowledge of engineering services a good understanding of all aspects of building maintenance An understanding of work-related HandS risks, and how to mitigate against these Experienced in BMS systems An understanding of HVAC systems Competent IT skills including use of Microsoft Office Competent working with handheld devices and smart technology Benefits 40 days Annual Leave Pension scheme with employer contribution of 16% Loans available for rail travel season tickets Staff Benevolent fund Occupational Health service Please contact us as soon as possible for more details or apply below
