Warwick - Hybrid

£350PD Umbrella

6 Month Contract

Job Purpose:


To be a business lead who will drive, motivate, inspire and encourage managers and staff to deliver our RIIO targets relating to the natural environment.

This ranges from re writing and embedding policies, establishing external partnerships to meet internaltargets and supporting the business in a specialist role to carry out natural capital and bio diversity assessments.

The assessments will inform the mitigation plans to meet the regulatory requirements of net gain.


Key Accountability's:


  • Be a leader and trusted advocate for environmental sustainability across GT&M, providing expert environmental sustainability knowledge of the natural environment; its protection, mitigation plans and opportunities for enhancements.
  • Liaise with internal teams such as Construction and Land & Property to ensure that sustainability expertise is provided to contracts, the tendering process and internal natural environmental plans.
  • Update company. policies based on the natural environment and ensure they are embedded across the organisation.
  • Coach, motivate and inspire GT&M engineers to build confidence in their ability to challenge contractor operatives on their E&S performance.
  • Seek improvements to existing ways of working and develop solutions to deliver an increased environmental performance. Use outputs to inform and update company procedures.
  • Build skills, knowledge and capability across core business functions to deliver, in particular, but not exclusively, the natural environment element of the E&S strategy.
  • Operate within or supervise a virtual team to achieve business objectives, plans and targets to enhance performance, condition, records and compliance with statutory requirements.
  • Produce detailed reports, data and information to demonstrate high E&S performance and the value of the team to a range of audiences, both internal and external to the company.
  • Work collaboratively with external bodies and represent GT&M on working groups such as TNFD

Knowledge & Experience Required:


Demonstrate a drive to be part of a high performing team that builds an outstanding reputation for professionalism, objectivity, integrity and delivery of results.


Technical understanding of environmental legislation, GT&M Policy, procedure and best practice in relation to environmental sustainability and the GT&M businesses and organisation.
