    Job summary

    We are looking for a part time enthusiastic and committed Health Care Assistant or Nurse Associate to join our friendly NHS GP in Paddock Wood, Kent. We are an EMIS WEB based practice serving around 13000 patients.

    Main duties of the job

    You will need to be friendly, confident and with good interpersonal skills. You will need to be able to put patients at their ease , helping them with their personal care whilst making sure they feel comfortable.

    You will need to work well within a team, supportive and engaging.

    About us

    We are a friendly GP practice in Paddock. We have 6 partner GPs and 1 salaried GP. We have 3 Practice nurses, 1 Nurse Associate and 2 HCAs. We are operate a personal list system ensuring continuity of care and best outcomes for patients.

    Job responsibilities

    Duties and responsibilities:

    Health checks

    ECG recording

    Phlebotomy

    Ear syringing

    Diabetic foot checks

    Blood pressure monitoring

    B12 injections

    Influenza Vaccinations

    Shingles Vaccinations

    Simple dressings

    Chaperone duties

    Processing and management of laboratory samples

    Vaccine/cold chain storage, monitoring and recording

    Clearing and restocking consulting rooms

    Person Specification

    Qualifications

    Essential

  • Qualified to NVQ level 2 in health and Social Care
  • Previous experience of working in a health care setting
  • Excellent inter personal skills

    • Desirable

  • Demonstrates self awareness, ie strengths and weaknesses, personal qualities and skills.
