Acorn Recruitment is currently recruiting for an Accounts Manager, to work on a part-time basis, on behalf of their client in Gloucestershire.

This client is looking for support for circa 3 days per week, but can be flexible as to how these hours are broken down, and are happy for you to work remotely with some visits to their offices.

The salary on offer will be £28,000 - £34,000 pro-rata along with a variety of benefits which can be shared.


Responsibilities:


  • Manage the daytoday finances of the organisation and provide accurate reports to senior management
  • Ensure all reports, accounts and analysis are provided with recommendations and explanation to board and senior management
  • Be present for select board and audit committee meetings
  • Liaise with budget holders to ensure spend is up to date and that any variance is accounted for
  • Prepare the annual budget and identify areas of concern or areas of opportunity
  • Ensure all accounting procedures and policies are kept up to date and adhered to across the organisation
  • Liaise with and manage relationship with external accountants and auditors
  • Provide payroll information to payroll provider on a regular basis
  • Provide ad hoc support to the management team and organisation as required

Requirements:


  • Previous experience in a similar capacity, managing the finances of an organisation and setting budgets
  • Strong team player and able to communicate effectively with a range of stakeholders
  • Good IT and system experience
  • Beneficial to have good working knowledge of IT accounting packages
  • Knowledge of or experience in the third sector would be beneficial but not essential
  • Good ability to work with a wide range of stakeholders and able to articulate financial information to nonfinancial staff
