Hertfordshire Care Providers Association (HCPA) is a unique award-winning company set up to support adult care providers within Hertfordshire to raise quality standards of care. We are a non-profit member's association. We support over 600care organisations to improve the quality of care they provide across a variety of projects such as staff training and providing information and guidance. We are proud to work closely with Hertfordshire County Council, the NHS and the CQC to improve the experienceof Social Care across the county.

We are now recruiting a
Senior Care Leadership Trainer to join the team.

The aim of this position is to design, develop and deliver high-quality leadership and care training to the private, voluntary, and independent adult social care workforcein Hertfordshire.

It is an exciting position for you to extend your
leadership in care and
training/presentingskills. You will primarily be training managers and proprietors on governance and leadership topics. There is also a coaching element to the role which involves supporting managers with staff development and career progression.

What does the role of Senior Care Leadership Trainer involve?

  • Your daytoday duties will include:_
  • Design, prepare and deliver care and leadership level training courses
  • Learn all current courses within the HCPA offer and deliver these to HCPA standards with passion and enthusiasm.
  • Engage with, develop and deliver coaching "career conversations" training aligned with the Scope For Growth project
  • Take responsibility of own learners by guiding them through the training and ensuring timely assessment of coursework (assessment is required for a small number of courses but full training would be given).
  • Support providers who require tailored solutions to training staff
  • Plan and deliver manager forums.
  • Work with the team to ensure all training is planned, booked, communicated and recorded efficiently.
  • Work with the Quality Team to ensure all courses are (where appropriate) mapped to qualifications and standards

Am I the right person for the Senior Care Leadership Trainer position?

Strong care management experience is required so that you will be credible when delivering training to other care managers.

  • You will also need to have:_
  • A qualification in Education and Training, at a minimum of Award in Education and Training. If you have not completed this, then a willingness to complete this early on in employment is a requirement of the job.
  • Own transport with insurance for business use is essential for this role as travel around Hertfordshire is required.
  • Previous experience of training/mentoring within a health and social care setting, delivering training to managers.
  • Experience in working at leadership level in adult social care and developing staff career progression through coaching
  • Excellent communication skills both written, IT and verbal.
  • Be excellent at autonomous research and have proven leadership experience.
  • Adaptable: training may be within the HCPA training centre and may also be courses that need to be delivered at a client's site or alternative venues.
