    Description

    As a Fiber Design Engineer, you'll be instrumental in comprehending project needs from a technical standpoint and facilitating coordination between clients and project delivery teams regarding processes, delivery, and quality. Proficiency in both German and English is crucial for effective communication with clients and project teams.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Communicate with clients via email and verbally in German, while interacting with project teams in English.
    • Acquaint yourself with the technological landscape of the client to align project deliverables and requirements more effectively.
    • Proactively identify and tackle technical and procedural challenges.
    • Develop a profound understanding of fiber technology and its applications in the telecommunications sector.
    • Collaborate efficiently within hybrid and offshore teams, fostering a culture of teamwork and cooperation.
    • Quickly adapt to evolving project requirements and priorities, demonstrating flexibility and agility in approach.

    Qualifications and Skills:

    • Fluent in both written and spoken German and English.
    • Possess 2-3 years of experience as a fiber designer.
    • Familiarity with GE Smallworld is advantageous; proficiency in other GIS skills is mandatory.
    • Excellent communication skills, capable of explaining technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
    • Proactive mindset with a knack for identifying and addressing challenges pre-emptively.
    • Team player with a collaborative work approach, comfortable working in diverse and distributed teams. Ability to train project teams on technical details.
    • Willingness to visit clients in Switzerland as needed.
