As a Policy and Project Officer, you will be instrumental in achieving our ambitions. Policy and Project Officers deliver policy projects which draw on evidence and data, stakeholder engagement, and public consultation.

Policy and Project Officers also help us to scan the horizon to be ahead of challenges and opportunities, respond to consultations, and keep specific parts of the GDC's regulatory policy framework up to date.


Policy and Project Officers are line managed by Policy Managers, and work to Heads of particular policy areas and an Associate Director of Policy and Research who steers the work of the whole team.

The team sits within the Strategy Directorate which includes Communications and Engagement and Education Quality Assurance teams.


About you

  • Research and analysis to support policy development.
  • Good project and/or programme management skills.
  • Planning, managing competing priorities and delivering work to tight deadlines.
  • Understanding and communicating complex information.
  • Drafting Reports and Papers and presenting these.
  • Identifying problems and developing solutions in partnership with others.
